The Botsotso Jesters
They are multilingual, make frequent use of song, and their performances feature individual and collectively written poems.
They have performed on many different stages, in many different settings, including festivals, schools, libraries and universities. In their performances they set out to form a poetry and movement mosaic at the levels of action and meditation, specifically expressing contemporary South African life, but very aware that this is a microcosm of global consciousness and experience.
Their publications include: WE JIVE LIKE THIS (1996) DIRTY WASHING (1999) PURPLE LIGHT MIRROR IN THE MUD (compact disc) (2001) REETINGS EMSAWAWA (2004) Botsotso Interview (June '98)New Coin 1998 Botsotso Jesters In The Land Of Plenty - Group Poem Siphiwe ka Ngwenya KilljoyIke Mboneni Muila Buddy ScamthoAllan Kolski Horwitz The Many Faces of WhiteyBotsotso Jesters Poetic Script - Group Poem Ike Mboneni Muila Jamming In My Mind Botsotso Jesters Freedom Chanter - Group Poem Siphiwe ka Ngwenya SowetoSiphiwe ka Ngwenya Natural InitiationBotsotso Jesters Poetry TalkAllan Kolski Horwitz Kei-BrownAllan Kolski Horwitz Where II Kabbo was born Ike Mboneni Muila Mazishe Website developed by Lynn Danzig
